Who is the course for?
This course has been designed for people who wish to understand the communication process and specifically the importance of non verbal communication as a major and essential part of that process.
NB: This course is an extract from the Understanding basic communication skills. It is designed to link to the ‘Etiquette of e-mail’ course as a means of exploring the issues surrounding non-verbal communication.
What we expect you to gain:
At the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Define what is meant by communication
- Understand the 4 elements of the communication process
- Identify some of the barriers to good communication
- Discover your own communication style
- Understand the importance of ‘blending’ in the communication process
Course content:
Via a series of exercises and discussions delegates will examine the communication process. There will be emphasis on combining verbal and non-verbal elements of this process.
